Timeline for the Application

 CoE

  • December 10th

Deadline for students to submit all required supportive documents to the JI (See details in Required Documents for Transfer (hyperlink)).

  • January 1st

Deadline for students to submit online application. (Finish the essays, choose a major).

Deadline for TOEFL report to arrive at CoE of UM (ETS code 1839). TOEFL test should be taken no later than December 10th. Students must order to directly send the reports to UM on the ETS website no later than mid-December.

  • Mid February

Notification of admissions decisions from UM.

  • April 1st

Deadline for acceptance of the admission. Registration on the UM website as a prospective student.

 

LSA

  • December 10th

Deadline for students to submit all required supportive documents to the JI (See details in Required Documents for Transfer(hyperlink)). All documents should also be in scanned version besides the paper documents. Financial Resource Statement (FRS) and bank statement are not needed.

  • January 1st

Deadline for students to submit online application. (Finish the essays, choose a major).

Deadline for TOEFL report to arrive at CoE of UM (ETS code 1839). TOEFL test should be taken no later than December 10th. Students must order to directly send the reports to UM on the ETS website no later than mid-December.

  • End of April (or earlier)

Notification of admissions decisions from UM. Deadline for bank statement and FRS to be submitted in scanned version.

  • May 1st

Deadline for acceptance of the admission. Registration on the UM website as prospective student.

 

JI students will be flagged in the University’s admissions system (wolverine) so that they can be easily tracked and identified for reporting and system actions to expedite their admissions. JI students will be issued a student identification number (UMID) after the submission of their application which will allow them to track the progress and status of their application intermittently throughout the application process.
