The TU München is one of Germany’s leading universities, with a history going back to 1868. It is dedicated to engineering and the science, with nearly all of its 40,000 students enrolled in a technical degree program. In the QS rankings of the world’s top universities, it is ranked 60th, the highest ranking of any German university.
For some years now, JI students have participated in exchanges with the TU, initially through the GE3 network. Recently, exchange agreements between SJTU and the TU have allowed greater numbers of students to participate and the exchange is expanding rapidly.
Major: ECE or ME

JI students continue to pay tuition at JI; no tuition is paid at the TUM. Administrative costs may be charged at TUM. Dormitory costs amount to approximately XXX Euro/month and cost of living is estimated at around YYY Euro/month.
The TUM is the premiere engineering school in Germany. With its strong academics, you can learn about cutting-edge science and technology or even stay to get Master degree. But it is an active fight. Good things in Germany need to be earned by yourself. They never come and knock on your door themselves. Life in Munich added a touch of bright colors to my college years. I strongly recommend this multi-cultural and vibrant program to everyone.

The first impression of Munich on me is its combination of modern city life and classical art. I can dissolve myself among the enthusiastic football fans and enjoy the carnival phenomenon in Allianz Arena. On the hand, different museums, city hall or even King Ludwig’s Palace are good story tellers to introduce the rise and fall history of the Iron Germany.
