Nanophotonics Laboratory

Prof. Tian Yang

Nanoscale processing, high precision characterization and large scale numerical simulation techniques have facilitated the demonstration of photonic nanostructures, in which the propagation and confinement of photons are artificially engineered, and the magnitude, precision and efficiency of interactions between light and materials can be significantly enhanced. In the Yang Lab, our goal is to create innovative nanophotonic devices that will 1) revolutionize the information processing technologies, 2) produce efficient and renewable clean energy resources, and 3) enable unprecedented biomedical applications.
